Mrs. Bertie Tucker, 83, of 816 W. Concord St., Marion, died at 6:25 a.m. today in Marion Memorial Hospital. She was born in Johnson County, December 27, 1882, a daughter of the late Pinkey (sic) and Mary Gibson Mohler. She was first married to Roy Burns, who died. She then married Richard T. Tucker, who died in November 1963. She was a member of the Marion Second Baptist Church.
Mrs. Tucker leaves a son, Carl Burns of San Diego, Calif; sister, Mrs. Dora Hogue of Moline; nephews, Lowell Mohler, of Thompsonville, A.C. Mohler and Everett Mohler, both of Marion, and Edgar Parrish and William Parrish, both of Goreville; and a niece, Mrs. Harley Garrett, of Marion.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, in the Mitchell Funeral Home, Marion, where friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. J.D. McCarty will officiate. Burial will be in the Cana Cemetery in Goreville.
