Ida's siblings were Minnie Elizabeth (or Elizebth) Allen Daniels, Leo Otto Allen, William Harley Allen, Joseph "Joe" Earen or Erin Allen, and Elsie M. Allen Yates. See Joe's picture to the right.
Ida married Dave McLeland. He was the son of Lizzie (Jones) McLeland, who was the oldest sibling of Benjamin Franklin Jones. They had one son, Alton Curtis "Buster" McLeland. He was born in 1920 and died in 1956. He was killed in an auto accident in Los Angeles, CA. He served in the 1st Infantry Division 1940-1945. He was wounded 2 times in combat during WWII. He served in Company A, 18th Inf. RGT. He was in the first wave of soldiers on Omaha Beach on D-Day June 6, 1944.
Ida later married Elmer Capps and had an adopted daughter, Mickie Capps. They are buried together with their daughter Mickie in West Lawn Cemetery in Henryetta, OK.
Ida was a very caring, unselfish person who helped many people. She never hesitated to take children or adults into her home to help them. She is still really missed and thought about today.
The graves of Ida, her husband, and adopted daughter are in Section F immediately adjacent to one of the east-west main roads. To locate them: enter Westlawn through the 3rd gate. Go to the road at the north corner of the office building (two cemetery blocks). Turn right (east). Go past the first grass and gravel side road. Their stones are in the next small section on the right at the beginning of the fourth row.
