Jacob Peres Lowenstein, founder of the J.P. Lowenstein Investment Company, died at 6:40 o'clock yesterday evening at Methodist Hospital where he was taken earlier in the day after suffering a sudden heart attack at his residence. He was 48 years of age. A native of Memphis, Mr. Lowenstein was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Sam Lowenstein. He lived all of his life here and received his education in the local schools. He had been in good health until he suffered the fatal heart attack. Mr. Lowenstein was a Mason and a member of Congregation Children of Israel. He is survived by his wife, Edith Goldbaumn Lowenstein, and a daughter, Louise Lowenstein, both of this city. Funeral services will be held from the family residence, 1565 Eastmoreland.
