Erna, age 90, died at Virginia Gay Hospital following an extended illness. She was the daughter of George and Martha (Conrad) Kerkman. She married Hans Clausen on August 16, 1938, in Vinton. She married Arnold Kranz on December 19, 1981, at St. John Lutheran Church in Newhall.
She is survived by her children, George Clausen and Janette McClintock, five grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by both husbands, her parents, her siblings, Carl Kerkman, Paul Kerkman, Eldon Kerkman, Harold Kerkman, Frieda Corporon, Hilda Dolge, and Viola Grogan.
Services were held at St. John Lutheran Church. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery in Shellsburg.
