Mrs. Mary Myrtle York, 86, Indianapolis, died Friday, Oct. 6, in her home.
A native of Hendricks County, she was the widow of Thomas Edgar York, who died in 1967. She was a 50 year member of the Phythian Sisters, Irvington Lodge.
Surviving are two daughters: Mrs. Mary Etta Abel and Mrs. Anna Belle Dickerson, both of Indianapolis; three sons: John York, Wilkinson: Thomas York, Lakewood, California; and Cecil York, Indianapolis; two sisters: Mrs. Mamie Rushton, Amo; and Mrs. Dewie Walls, Clayton. Eleven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren also survive.
Services were Monday, Oct. 9 at the Weaver Funeral Home, Clayton, with the Rev. Paul Taylor officiating. Burial was in the Clayton Cemetery.
