J.D. Gentry, son of B.B. and Sarah Gentry, was born in Grape Grove township, Ray county, Missouri, August 6, 1866, and died at Noyes Hospital, St. Joseph, November8, 1930, aged 64 years, three months and two days.
For the past 16 years he had made his home in and around St. Joeph. On November 9, 1924, he became a member of the Church of Latter Day Saints.
He leaves to mourn his passing a wife, two sons, W.B. and Abe L., of Kansas City, and two daughters, Mrs. Susie Frazier, of Hardin, and Mrs. Pebble Brock, of Braymer; also two brother, J.G., of Braymer, and C.M. of Bakersfield, Cal., and one sister who resides at Galesburg, Ills. His parents preceded him in death some years ago.
The funeral took place at the Fleeman undertaking home, and the body was laid to rest in Mt. Auburn cemetery, St. Joseph.
