Graveside funeral services will be held in the West Side District Cemetery Tuesday at noon for Taft resident, Jeff Roger Dickson, 73. The Rev. Gary Dunahoo, of the New Hope Temple, will officiate at the services.

Dickson was born in Texas Nov. 27, 1915, and died in the local hospital Saturday morning. During World War II Dickson served in the United States Army. He had lived in Kern County for over 50 years. He was self employed painting contractor for many years. He was a former member of the Taft Elks Lodge.

His survivors include children and their spouses, Dawna and Ray Booher of Taft, Judy Dobkins of New Philadelphia, Ohio, Greg and Dana Langford of Exeter, and Grant and Thersa Langforn of Merced; a brother in law, Wayne McBride of Bakersfield; a sister in law, Kathleen Dickson of Taft; and grandchildren, Megan and Sarah Booher, Jenny Dobkins, Kristin, Dovanan and Christopher Langford.

Those who wish may call at the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home Monday until 8:30 p.m. and again from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. to pay their respects.
