John Sayle was a Chief Petty Officer of the British Royal Navy, one of the Allied Forces with the United States during World War II.
He was originally buried in Section F, Grave 6 of Fort Brooke Military Cemetery in San Juan, Puerto Rico. On January 26, 1960 he was transferred to the Puerto Rico National Cemetery in Bayamon, Puerto Rico.
His grave is one of two gravesites of British Commonwealth servicemen buried in Puerto Rico administered by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.
