Geraldine Skwarlo Evelsizer was born July 12, 1941 in Canonsburg, a daughter of Joseph Skwarlo and Josephine Grykowski. She died Wednesday, August 24, 2005 in Donnell House, Washington at the age of 64.

Mrs. Evelsizer was a lifelong resident of Houston and Eighty Four. She graduated from Chartiers-Houston High School and Washington Hospital School of Nursing.

Prior to her illness, she was employed as a registered nurse for UPMC hospital. She was a member of First Methodist Church of Houston.

Her husband, Robert Edward Evelsizer, died the previous year on September 24, 2004.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Scott (Suzanne M.) Woodstuff of Rogers, Ohio; two brothers, Wayne Skwarlo of Washington and Richard (Patricia) Skwarlo of Afton, Va.; two grandchildren, Andrew and Jonathan Woodstuff; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and 10 to 11 a.m., the time of services, Saturday, August 27, in Sollon Funeral Home Ltd., J. David Sollon, supervisor, 30 East College Street, Canonsburg.

Burial in Forest Lawn Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to American Cancer Society.
