A rosary will be recited tomororw at 7:30 pm at White's Chapel, 138 Walnut Avenue for Clarke C. Cook, 69, who died yesterday at his home, 230 San Juan Avenue after a long illness. A requiem low mass will be celebrated Saturday at 8:30 am at Star of the Sea Catholic Church and interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
Cook, a native of Toledo, Ohio came to Santa Cruz in 1964 from Oakland where he worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad. He came to California in 1941. Previously he had been employed by the Pennsylvania Railroad.
He is survived by his six sisters Bessie Hosler, Kathleen Schuller and Margaret I Cook all of Santa Cruz. Helen Berring of Canton, Ohio, Grace Hodel of Livermore and Madeline Groenke of Glendale, Arizona; two brothers, Harold Cook of Santa Cruz and William P. Cook of Canton, Ohio; several nieces and nephews.
