Miss Anita Harrison of Del Rio, Daughter of Mrs. E.S. Harrison of Del Rio, was married to Capt. Charles Calvin, son of Burt C. Calvin of this city, on May 21, in the rectory of St. Mary's Catholic Church at Brownwood, with the Rev. Fr. E. P. Harrison, brother of the bride, officiating.
Mrs. Robert Lackner of Brownsville, sister of the bride, was matron of honor, and Burt C. Calvin was his son's best man.
The bride wore a turquoise blue gaberdine suit with white accessories, and a corsage of orchids.
Immediately following the ceremony, Mrs. Harrison entertained with a wedding breakfast in the Hotel Brownwood. The table was laid with an Italian cutwork cloth and adorned with gladioli, snap-dragons and carnations. Among those at the breakfast were Capt. and Mrs. Frank Harrison of San Antonio, and Mrs. Mac Wesley Ledbetter of Brownwood.
The couple left later for a wedding trip to New Orleans, after which Capt. Calvin will go on to Utah for reassignment.
The bride attended Incarnate Word College here, receiving her bachelor of music degree. She has been teaching music in Sanderson and Del Rio. Capt. Calvin received his bachelor of science and master of science degrees from Texas A&M College. He has been stationed in Mississippi, where he has been an instructor in aeronautics.
