My great great grandparents Josef and Terezie Braum took a trip on December 13,1894 on the ship "Normannia" to Bohemia. Their point of departure was Hamburg, Germany, and their point of entry was New York. Their accommodation was "Zwischendeck", which means between deck, otherwise known as the cargo section.

When they came to America, they settled in Nebraska first and are listed on the Nebraska 1880 census and then moved to Oklahoma City. According to the 1910 census in Oklahoma City, both Josef and Terezie could speak English, and they owned their home.

In 1906, Joseph and his son Joseph Jr. entered into the real estate business in Okla.City with Barney Martin Stengle, an Oklahoma City attorney. The name of their business was Stengle and Braum.

There are four people buried the plot: Joseph, Teresa, their grandson Freddie, and Jessie Braum Lee.
