Charles Ralph Gors, 69, of Harrison

Charles Ralph Gors, age 69, of Harrison, went to his Heavenly Father on Monday, Dec. 22 (2008) at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, Mo. He was born April 26, 1939, at Yankton, S.D., the son of Ralph Allen and Helen Wava (Sherman) Gors.

Charles retired from McClinton Anchor after 29 years as a foreman. He was currently employed by Tontitown Bedding. He served as a volunteer fireman at Weddington Fire Department at Fayetteville. Charles was an active member of the North Arkansas Rusty Wheels Old Engine Club in Harrison. He dedicated his life to serving the Lord and was felt to be an associate pastor of Beckman Old Country Church in Everton. He was a wonderful, loving husband, father and grandfather, as well as a dear friend to all those he knew. He touched many lives in countless ways and will always be loved and remembered.

He is survived by his wife of 49-1/2 years, Deanna Gene Gors; three daughters, Charlotte Ann Lougee of Springdale, Janet Lea Reed of Lincoln and Barbara Gene and Jeff Bowen of West Fork; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 29, at Holt Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Dwayne Bryant officiating. Graveside service and burial will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 29, at Dowell Cemetery in Fayetteville with the Rev. Loyd Thomas officiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 28, at the chapel.

Pallbearers include Eric Clarke, Allen Hesse, Paul Laird, Tom McKnight, Don Williams, Jack Kildow, David Reed, Chad Byrum and Dustin Bowen. Memorial contributions may be made to the Arkansas Hemophila Foundation.
