Timothy Bliss, b. March 22, 1745, d. May 3, 1817. He was the son of Pelatiah Bliss and Hepzibah Goodwin. He married Zerviah Williams She was born March 24, 1745. d. 6 Mar 1823. The Bliss genealogy had no information on her other then her birth date.

"He removed to Vermont in 1780. Both were constituent members of the Congregational Church in Essex, organized Oct. 3, 1797. He was a justice of the peace for many years. [A Mr. Timothy Bliss was in the Vermont Legislature in 1783, 1788, 1799, and also in the convention called in 1791, to act on the adoption of the American Constitution.] " –Bliss genealogy,

He was a selectman of Essex in 1788, along with Col. John Childs, and Captain John Noble.-History of Chittenden County, Vermont.
