Maggie Elizabeth Brewer Redford, 83, of Greenhill, Ala., died Monday, Sept. 18, 2006, at Lauderdale Christian Nursing Home, after an extended illness. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2006, at Greenhill Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, 2006, at Greenhill Funeral Home chapel, with burial in Shiloh Cemetery.
Officiating will be Brother Tim Grigsby and Wayne Redford.

Maggie Elizabeth Redford, a longtime member of Shiloh Church of Christ, passed peacefully Monday afternoon after a long battle with dementia. She was a resident of Lauderdale Christian Nursing Home for eight years.
She was born in Iron City, Tenn. She married and raised nine children in this community and in Stow, Ohio, from 1955 to 1978, when she retired to Greenhill with her husband of 47 years. She enjoyed attending church regularly, ladies Bible class, contributing to her community and spending time with family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Noah Brewer and Sally Ann Blackwell; her husband, Lamar Garnett Redford; one son, Terry Neal Redford; and also by three brothers and a sister.
She is survived by sons, Owen Lamar Redford, of Rome, Ohio, Noah Wayne Redford, of Stow, Ohio, Gary Austin Redford, Bath, Ohio, Joseph Garnett Redford, Littleville, Ala., Travis Ray Redford, of Akron, Ohio; daughters, Linda Redford Brady, Rogersville, Ala., Cathelene Redford and Frances Redford Gray, both of Greenhill, Ala.; brother, Johnnie Brewer; and sister, Georgia Mae Butler, both of Greenhill, Ala. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons.
Honorary pallbearers will be family members.
She will be greatly missed by many friends and family. The family would like to express their thanks to the staff at Lauderdale Christian Nursing Home for their personal love and caring for our mother and also a special thanks for Norma at Hospice of the Shoals for her personal care and love of our mother.
