This fellow has two stones. One he is on the large family monument, and two he has a second flat stone. They show two different dates. Right now I am not sure which is correct. One dated Dec. 6, 1848 to Dec. 18. 1918 and the other dated Dec 4 1848 to Dec 18 1918. Agreement on death date, but not birth.

Finally found his death cert. # 45553, under Joel Hayden with a Y instead of Haden. Parents listed as Charles and Louisa [Weaver] Hayden. Occupation was farmer. Informant listed as Mrs Dove Plummer, that is his daughter. Male, white, married. Cause of death was cancer [actually shows carcinoma of liver]. Eli Paxson funeral home. Death cert. has Dec. 4 for birth date.

A bit from a story that I found on the internet for them at ancestry:
Mr. Haden is one of the pioneers of Greene county, and was a colonel of militia in the early days of the county. He has been a member of the Christian church since a young man, and a Mason since 1842. He was married May 6, 1841, to Miss Louisiana, daughter of Major Joseph and Judith Weaver. Their union was blessed with eight children. Joel was one of the listed children.
