Albert Lee Hunsicker was born in Osage City, January 8, 1876 and passed away at his home on East Main Street October 7, 1917 at the age of 41 years.
Mr Hunsicker spent most of his life in Osage City. He was born and raised here and was well known by nearly everyone. About a year ago he and his family moved to Council Grove where he was proproetor of a laundry there. He moved back to Osage City a few months ago and had been employed in the Osage City Steam laundry here until his sickness confined him at home. He was a member of the Modern Woodmen and K and P lodges. He united with the Methodist church here a few years ago and since that time he has been an active member in the church. Mr Hunsicker ws an honest, hardworking man, who always tried to do what he thought was right and just by his family and in the home. He was a man who was well known and loved by his fellow men especially by those who have known him from a boy and by those who knew him best.
He was united in marriage to Miss Mabel West of this city and to this union was born seven children all of whom are living. he had been in seemingly good health until about a month ago, when he was taken ill and although his friends hoped for the best he did not improve as rapidly as he should have, and death resulted October 7th.
Besides his wife and seven children he leaves to mourn his loss an aged mother, several sisters and brothers, a number of other relatives and a jost of friends, who extend their most heartfelt sympathy to the family in their bereavement.
The funeral services were held at the Methodist church Wednesday at 2:30 with Rev Walter French of Council Grove officiating. he preached a very appropriate sermon in which he expressed many words of praise for the deceased, as he was one of the most faithful and willing workers in the Methodist church in Council Grove, during the time he made his home there. Rev French was assisted in the services by rev C C Clampitt if this city.
The floral offerings were many and beautiful.
Interment was made in the North cemetery.
