Ed graduated from Escanaba High School, Class of 1934. He attended Cloverland College in Escanaba. Ed worked for his father, who owned Peterson's Green House, located next to Lakeview Cemetery. In 1934 he went to work for the Birds Eye Veneer Company as bookkeeper/accountant/
office manager. Ed was honorably, dedicated and devoted to the Birds Eye for 50 years, retiring in March, 1984.
On October 12,1940, Ed was married to Ruth E. Carlson and was very dedicated and devoted to her for 63 years of marriage.
Ed was a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church in Escanaba where he had served on the Church Board as Treasurer, and many years of being an usher.
Ed's hobbies included spending time working in his yard and garden, in his hobby room listening to music from his era along with classical music, running his train set, electronics, operating his 35mm camera, showing the family movies and spending time with his family. He loved taking his family for long rides and dinners, reading, and was devoted to reading his Bible from beginning to end over and over again.
Ed was survived by his wife, Ruth
