Mrs. Lee graduated from Bay High School in the class of 1937 and volunteered with the Bay Medical Auxiliary for more than 20 years. She served on the Salvation Army Board and attended their award dinners each year. Mrs. Lee never met a stranger. She loved people and young folks, always taking in children and the homeless. Her own children called their home "Mom's Mission" because they never knew who was going to be sitting at the table when they came home. Mrs. Lee attended First United Methodist Church for 75 years and was a member of the Progressive Sunday School Class. She served in many ways with the church and was on the Administration Board several times. Many will remember her as their Den Mother in the Boy Scouts, Brownies and Girl Scouts. She served an office in all of these clubs. One of her best rewards and honor was on her 80th birthday when she was presented a Key to the city by the City of Panama City. She was also honored for her work of 55 years as a poll worker and was the Clerk of her voting precinct. Mrs. Lee was affectionately known by her family and friends as "Mama Sue". She will be remembered as the lady working in her yard with her flowers and she enjoyed feeding the birds. Mrs. Lee loved the outdoors and fishing. She also loved to read. Mrs. Lee is preceded in death by her childhood sweetheart and husband of 54 years, Ammie L. Lee Jr. and her brother, Tom Weston. She is survived by her sons, Joe L.
