Services for Irene E. Amidon , 73, formerly of LaFayette, who died Thursday at St. Camillus Health and Rehabilitation Center, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Hall Funeral Home, 6033 Cherry Valley Road, LaFayette. Burial will be in LaFayette Rural Cemetery.

Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, 6033 Cherry Valley Road.

A native of Syracuse, Mrs. Amidon lived more than 50 years in LaFayette. Her husband, Floyd, died in 1968. Mrs. Amidon retired after 18 years with K mart in Syracuse and was a former collector of taxes for LaFayette.

Mrs. Amidon was a former member of the Columbian Presbyterian Church, the LaFayette Rebekah Lodge and LaFayette Grange 1330.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Hollis Edinger and Mrs. Robert Brown, both of Tully, and Mrs. Donald Knapp of Manlius; two brothers, Ernest of North Syracuse and Earl Winchell of South Carolina; three sisters, Edna Phelps of Apulia and Bertha Karkruff and Blanche Cullen, both of East Syracuse; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
