He was born September 3, 1982 in Cuero to David and Jana Lee May. He was a soldier for the United States Army, having joined in August of 2007. Jordan had completed a rigorous training regimen in preparation for deployment to Iraq in early 2009 including weapons training, vehicle gunnery and training simulating operations at the Joint Readiness Training Center at Fort Polk, Louisiana. He served as a member of the 1st Cavalry Regiment (Dark Horse Unit), based at Fort Hood Army Base in Killeen, Texas. His medals and awards include the Army Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal and the Army Service Ribbon. Jordan passed away on Saturday, December 20, 2008, while home on Christmas leave. He is survived by his parents and his sister, Kaitlin Cherie May, all of Cuero.
