Mrs. DeMasters, born on Sweet Homestead, dies at 84 years.
Services for Nellie Flora DeMasters, 84, of Sweet, Idaho, who died Thursday at an Emmett Hospital were conducted at 10:30am Saturday at Beatty Chapel in Emmett by the Rev L. D. Lock of Sweet Assembly of God Church. Interment was at Sweet. Mrs. DeMasters was born Nellie Flora Badley, July 19, 1887, on a ranch four miles above Sweet, homesteaded by her father. The ranch is now owned by a son. She had lived at Sweet during her entire life. She was a member of the Methodist church. Married to Joseph B. DeMasters, July 19, 1908, the couple celebrated its 63rd anniversary last July. Survivors, besides her husband, are two sons, Joe and Willard DeMasters both of Sweet; three daughters, Mrs. Charles (Mary) Hartman, Tacoma, Wash, Mrs. Hayes (Katie) Elliott, Suquamish, Wash, and Mrs. Hugh (Nellie) Fulton, Riggins; 13 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers were Bill Wilson, Dick Suitor, Parker Woodall, I.E. Robinson, Lloyd Cox, Jim Kirkpatrick, Alfa Boynton, and Orvil Blessinger. Actual Pallbearers were her grandsons, Steven DeMasters, Emmett DeMasters, David DeMasters, Hugh Fulton Jr, Ben Fulton, and Joe Favinger.
