Born in Kingsport where he had lived his entire life, David worked at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center for 23 years as an Anesthesia Technician.
He attended Shiloh Freewill Baptist Church in Bristol.
David loved to ride his motorcycle, "tinker" with cars, and fish. He loved to play with his son, Nicholas and teach him things. David also loved playing with the family dog.
His father Jessee Manis and brother, Johnny Manis preceded him in death.
