Our Beloved Daughter

Glenda a beautiful red headed, spirited person who was murdered by mass murder George Howard Putt.

Glenda Sue Harden, a secretary for Jackson Life Insurance Company was young and pretty, described by a family member as "a very sweet, outgoing, lovable Christian girl. She loved people; she didn't know what it was to be unkind to others." The Kingsbury High graduate lived with her mother and stepfather at 1256 Holliday and was engaged to marry a young fellow from Ripley in January.

Miss Glenda Harden

Services for Miss Glenda Sue Harden of 1256 Holliday will be at 2:30 p. m. today at Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel with burial in Memorial Park.
Her body was found Saturday afternoon in Riverside Park, Miss Harden, who was 21, was a secretary for Jackson Life Insurance Co. and a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.
She leaves her mother and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. Harold H. Lee, Jr. of the Holliday address: her father Charles Harden of Memphis: a sister, Mrs. Linda Ridings of Memphis: a step sister, Tammi Lee of the Holliday address; a step brother, Harold Wayne Lee of 560 Stanley Drive; her maternal grandmother, Mrs. H. L. Lee of 3085 Pershing and her maternal grandfather, the Rev. John E. Weir of Vine Grove, KY
