Monroe. 81. died Thursday. Nov 3, 1983.
as a result of an auto accident in Peru
He was born in New York State on
March 31, 1902
the son of Mr and Mrs Charles Monroe
Mr Monroe owned and operated a taxi service
in AuSable Forks for many years
Survivors include his wife, the former
Ruth Peck, three brothers.
Hiram Monroe of Vergennes. VT,
Marcus Monroe of Ormand Beach, Fla,
and Albert Monroe of Brant Lake,
two sisters. Permelia Pratt of Brant Lake
and Delia Miller of Hyde Park,
one stepdaughter. Glenda Fournier of
Morrisonville:
one stepson. Glen Proctor of Lake Placid;
and several grandchildren
Calling hours were at the Zaumetzer-Sprague
Funeral Home in AuSable Forks
Funeral services were Sunday at
the Church of the Nazarene in Wilmington
Burial was in Fairview Cemetery in
AuSable Forks
