William Robert Johnston, 62, of 3901 Waller Road E., died Monday. Mr. Johnston was born in Ellensburg and had lived in Tacoma most of his life. He retired last June after 20 years service as a line material man for the Tacoma City Light. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, the Waller Road Grange, and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 483.
Survivors include his wife, Mable E; three sons, Robert A., of the home, William R., of Tacoma; and Edgar R. of Puyallup; a stepson, Michael Looney, of New Jersey; two daughters, Mrs. Dean (Dorothy) Arnold, of Independence, Mo., and Mrs. Willard (Ella) Wall of Los Angeles; a sister, Mrs. Fred (Lucille) Lundstrom, of Ellensburg; and 10 grandchildren.
Services will be announced by Mountain View Funeral Home.
