Merle Andescavage passed away May 31 at St. Luke's Hospital-Miners Campus, Coaldale, surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter John Andescavage, in 1998. She was born in Barnesville, a daughter of the late Clarence and Gertrude Krause Smith. Preceding her in death, in addition to her husband, were brothers, Michael and Lester, and grandson, Joel. Surviving are sons, Clarence, John, James, Lester, and daughter, Susan along with their spouses; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brothers, Frederick Smith and Albert Smith; many nieces and nephews. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Christ Church Cemetery, Rush Township. Donations may be made to Christ Lutheran Church in her memory. Lamar Christ Funeral Home, Hometown, has charge.
