Nora was the third of five children born to David and Sarah Kinkade. She was born January 28, 1871 in Illinois. The family removed to California and then to Washington by the time before she was eleven years old. She married first to Harvey Cowger in Ellensburg and had a daughter, Edith. After Harvey's death, she married John "Jack" Ordie. The couple was living in Spokane, Washington in 1918. Nora and John Ordie can be found in Montana during the 1920 and 1930 censuses. She was still living in Troy, Montana in 1942 when her brother John Kinkade died. Nora died on May 13, 1944 in Troy, Montana. She is buried in the Troy Cemetery.
