William R. Saxton
Many friends in Milford regret the death of William R. Saxton. Mr. Saxton spent much of his life in Milford and vicinity and was well known here. For a number of years he operated a general store where I.S. Kilpatrick is now located. He closed out his business at that location to Brazie & Cooper, and many years afterwards, he was in business there with his brother-in-law, E.O. Jewll, under the firm name of Saxton & Jewell. He owned the building, which he occupied as a store, and which was known as the New York STore, until a few years ago.
