Two civilians perished in this incident, as well as RNZAF Flight Sergeant Peter Gerald DOBSON Mid, who lost his life by exploding bombs and falling debris when he rushed to assist the crew and the occupants of the house, and WAAF Section Officer Joan Marjorie EASTON.
