Milton Freeman was born in Brazil, Indiana while his mother was traveling by train to her hometown in Tennessee. Little did she or the train conductor know they were going to be making an unexpected stop because Milton wasn't going to wait.
He was the middle child of Mr. & Mrs. David Freeman. Younger brother to Gerald Freeman (Macomb Twp. MI) and big brother to his sister Janet Freeman-Hall (Lexington, KY).
Milton was a lifelong resident of Michigan, he was an entrepreneur who had a successful career in banking, real estate and property management. He grew up in Detroit as a child, then moved to nearby Macomb County, where he lived out his entire adult life, with the exception of the time he spent in the Navy as a young adult.
After his service in the Navy, Milton returned home to marry his first love Donna Jean Cole who also grew up in Detroit. Together Milton and Donna lived in Roseville, MI for 18 years and had three beautiful children, Susan Michelle Freeman - Robinson on July 18, 1961 (who passed away in 2001 at the age of 40). David Alan Freeman on June 21, 1963 (Lake Orion, MI) and Lynda Carol Freeman-Ward on February 06, 1967 (Ft. Myers, FL).
Milton was married for a short time to his second wife Cathy Goodman-Freeman. Then at the age of 50, Milton met and then married his third wife Judith in 1983, together they lived in Clinton Twp. MI and had 2 children, a daughter Elisabeth Freeman in 1985 and a son Scott Freeman in 1987.
Milton was blessed with seven Grandchildren and three Great Grandchildren:
Lorenzo Lanier - (Son of Susan) Age 27
Eric Lanier - (Son of Susan) Age 23 - Engaged to Amanda with 3 sons.
Samantha Freeman-Neale (Daughter of David) - Age 22 - Married to David Neale with No Children.
Alex Freeman (Son of Susan) - Age 21
Katelyn Ward (Daughter of Lynda) - Age 20
Ashley Freeman (Daughter of David) - Age 17
Jacob Jenkins (Son of Lynda) - Age 13
Milton Edward passed away after a long illness, at his home in Clinton Township, MI on December 18, 2008. A Funeral service was held at Verheyden Funeral Home, 28499 Schoenherr at Warren on December 22, 2008 and was laid to rest at The Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI on December 23, 2008.
Milton was loved and adored by his family, he will be missed deeply.
