Memorial services will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to service time Saturday. Gladfelter Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Lulu "Bessie" Tuntland was born May 26, 1926, in Harding, a daughter of Ernest Floyd and Lulu (Sibert) Keith. She married Armon Tuntland June 27, 1945, in Ottawa. She is survived by her husband, Armon of Marseilles; her children, Larry (Pat) Tuntland of Greenville, Tennessee, Duane (Sue) Tuntland and Cindy (Bob) Sprowls of Ottawa, Karen (Doug) Strahl of Madisonville, Ky., Stephen Tuntland of Kabul, Afghanistan, Kevin (Cecilia) Tuntland of Shabbona and Brad (Suzanne) Tuntland of Marseilles. She also leaves 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Three brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
Mrs. Tuntland was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Ottawa. Bessie was a farm wife. She dearly loved her family and enjoyed gardening. She was a homemaker and could be found sewing and crocheting, even after loss of her vision.
