Octavia was born abt Jan 1858 Canada, daughter of Francis St Amour and Mary Ann Lafleur. She showed in the 1870 census of Burlington with her parents and was listed as Olive age 13. Octavia married Leander Dore' on Sept 18 1876 at St Joseph Church in Burlington, he was born abt Aug 15 1848 Canada, the son of Alexander Dore' and Marie Mathieu.
In the 1880 Census of Burlington Octavia had her brother Francis St Amour also living with her family, Francis now a widower of Josephine (Delorme) St Amour.
After the death of her husband Leander in 1907, Octavia left Vermont with most of her living children and went to New Bedford Massachusetts, she shows living there by 1909 on 659 First Street. By 1910 she is living on 16 George Street, with children: Henry, Helene, Emma and Joseph, as well as married daughter Marion and her son in law Arthur Blanchette and granddaughter Irene Blanchette. By 1914 Octavia is listed as widow of Leon and she is living on 14 Roosevelt Street, New Bedford as well as son Henry now married and his family. By 1920 Octavia is living with her daughter Mary/Marion Dore Blanchard/Blanchette (also widowed) Also included in household is Emma Dore, now married to Jean Hevey, they are all living on 149 Tinkham Street in New Bedford. The 1921 City Directory of New Bedford Octavia is listed as widow of Leon Dore and living at same address as her son Henry and his wife Viola Dore, res: 149 Tinkham Street, New Bedford Massachusetts. 1928 City Directory of New Bedford Massachusetts, Octavia is listed as widow of Leon Dore, living on 73 Bridge Street in New Bedford Massachusetts.
Descendants on the Dore' line, said Octavia returned to Vermont about 1930 to visit her daughter Octavia. It is said she became very ill and died in Burlington Vermont
