L. A. Moore, 90, Dies in Kansas City

Word has been received here of the death of Littleton Alexander Moore, who died at his home in Kansas City, Mo., on Wednesday, Oct. 8. He had been in ill health several years but bedfast only a month.
Funeral services were held in Kansas City with interment in Floral Hills Cemetery.
Mr. Moore was born on January 29, 1868, near Americus, Mo., the son of James Fox and Susan McDaniel Moore. He moved with his family to a farm near Steedman when 13 years of age and lived there until his marriage to Viola E. Matteson Maddox on April 9, 1899. After his marriage they made their home in Portland and Mokane. He had lived in and near Kansas City for the past 33 years. He was a member of the Americus Methodist Church.
The last of a family of six children, Mr. Moore is survived by his wife and four children, Elvira Honea, Susan Mathews, Isabelle Stanbrough and Walter L. Moore, all of Kansas City. Also six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Littleton Alexander Moore, 90, died at his home in Kansas City, Mo., Wednesday, October 8, 1958. He had been in ill health for several years but bedfast only a few months.
The deceased, a resident of this community for many years, was born January 29, 1868, to James Fox and Susan McDaniel Moore on a farm near Americus, Mo. He was married to Viola E. Matteson Maddox on April 9, 1899, who survives.
Other survivors include: one son, Walter L. Moore, Kansas City, Mo.; three daughters, Elvira Honea, Susan Mathews and Isabelle Stanbrough, all of Kansas City, Mo.; two nephews, Ernest Moore, Waterloo, Ill., and Henry Moore, St. Charles; two nieces, Dorothy Moore, St. Charles, and Dolores Wilson, St. Louis; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. One son, James Alonza Moore, preceded him in death in 1907 at the age of six years.
He had been a member of the Americus Methodist Church since childhood.
Funeral services were held at the Leeds Baptist Church, in Kansas City, Saturday, October 11. Interment was in Floral Hills Memorial Cemetery.--Mokane Missourian, Thurs. Oct. 30, 1958
