Ruth Ladurna Pierce married 1st Monroe Samuel Crosier in Cuyahoga County Ohio 1838. They were Mormons. Went to Far West Missouri with the Mormons, then back to Hancock Co Illinois.
Children: Joseph 1839 died as a child.
Willard Lochward 1841 Sangamon, IL1864 d. Civil War in VA burial place unknown. He joined Union Army 1861 Macomb, NY.

Husband Monroe Crosier disappeared 1846, thinking he was dead Ruth married Heber Chase Kimble a Mormon church leader, then Monroe returns 1848 they moved into Missouri from IL. then Monroe deserts Ruth 1854 he goes to the gold fields of California, he becomes a hy way robber, 1860 jailed then escapes, is involved in a murder & robbery with another man. Tried and convicted sent to San Quentin Prison, other man was hung. 1873 Monroe is released from prison. No other information after that time.
Ruth Pierce Crosier took the children back to Oswegatchied, St. Lawrence, NY bef 1860. She remarried John Harrington 1861 Deypster NY, they move to Michigan and then to Glenwood Utah 1882 where her sister Patience Pierce Palmer and other Pierce relatives lived.
