Durwood was born in Stratford to Floyd Jesse & Ester Vera (Adams) Gray. He had lived in Stratford until 1962 when he moved to Irving, Texas. He moved to Sulphur in 1989. He had worked as a painter & wall paper hanger. He attended the Pentecostal Holiness Church. He was a Vet of WWII served in the Army. He was married to Jeanne Brewer on February 16, 1952. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters: a brother and son: Scotty Ray Gray. Survivors: wife: Jeanne Gray of Sulphur, Daughter & Son-in-law: Vicki & Jerry Hassell of Lewisville, Texas 4 Grandchildren: Bryan, Jason, Jeff & Brandon Nodine, 2 Great Grandchildren: Haleigh & Ashley Nodine, Sister: Willadean Clinkenbeard of Irving, Texas. Services: Monday December 22 at 2:00PM at the Light House Church in Stratford with interment in McGee Cemetery
