born Virginia Maxine Hall to parents,
Irene Gibson Hall and Grover C. Hall,
on August 20, 1914 in Eufaula, OK.
She was raised in Eufaula and graduated
from OSU with a Teaching degree.
She taught school in Eufaula and married
Lloyd W. Grigsby in 1939. She
moved to Tulsa in 1950. After raising
her son, she became involved in managing
properties and leases associated
with her family's oil and gas business.
She was interested in Republican Party
politics and also spent a great deal of
time exploring spiritual interests. She is
survived by her son, Lloyd H. Grigsby
and his wife, Fran. She is also survived
by her grandchildren, Ryan J. Grigsby
and Lauren Grigsby Throckmorton and
her husband, Kevin. A casual memorial
gathering will be held in Forbes Parlor
at Southminster Presbyterian Church,
at 2 p.m., Saturday, January 21, 2006.
