He was married to Nellie Louisa (Donelson) Cluck of Palmyra Missouri on October 12, 1940. They have 3 sons James W., Alan Lynn and Kent LeRoy Cluck. 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
He was employed by Coca-Cola Hannibal, Coors Brewing Co. and the State of Colorado.
