Wesley Brandon Owen, 27, of Charleston died Thursday September 2, 2004. He was born April 24, 1977 in West Columbia, SC, son of Dennis and Tommye Skinner Owen. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Tom Moore Skinner and his paternal grandparents, Ned and Faye Fortner Owen. In addition to his parents he is survived by a son, Sullivan Edward McMahan and his mother, Valorie McMahan; a brother, Matthew Owen, a student at USC in Columbia; a sister and brother-in-law, Jennifer and William Allen of Charleston; a niece, Madeline Allen; maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Skinner of West Columbia; paternal great-grandmother, Ludora Owen of Irmo, SC; and many aunts, uncles, and dear friends. Wesley had been a lifelong arborist and was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. Funeral services will be 3PM Sunday September 5, 2004 at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1157 Sam Rittenberg Blvd., Charleston, SC, 29407. Interment will follow at Bethany Cemetery. Friends may visit from 6 – 8 PM Saturday, September 4, 2004 at the McAlister – Smith Funeral Home, 150 Wentworth St. Charleston, SC 29401.
