Luella Regina Biler, 93, of Chaffee, MO, died Oct. 30, 2001, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, MO.
Born Feb. 27, 1908, in Clarkton, MO, daughter of the late Louis Richard and Ara Mae Dexter Thompson, she was a seamstress for Thorngate Ltd. in Chaffee, retiring in 1972. She was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church and the Legion of Mary, Ladies Prayer and Share, past president of the Daughters of St. Ambrose, member of RSVP and taught CCD religious classes for three years at St. Ambrose.
On April 26, 1926, she married Eugene Jerome Biler who preceded her in death on Jan. 21, 1983.
Survivors include: three sons, Eugene J. Biler Jr., John E. Biler and William T. Biler; one daughter, Jo Ann Reiminger; and 22 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Three sons, three brothers and three sisters also preceded her in death.
Visitation was held at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, where a rosary was scheduled.
A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Ambrose Catholic Church with the Rev. Ralph Duffner officiating.
Burial followed in the Evergreen Cemetery at New Madrid.
Pallbearers were: Kirk Biler, Guy Biler, Billy Biler, Johnny Biler, Eddie Biler, Robert Reiminger, David Reiminger and Joe Reiminger.
