Funeral services for Cecil McDonald, 74, of Alexandria were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2005 in the Hixson Funeral Home Chapel the Rev. D.R. Davis officiated. Burial followed in the Antioch Cemetery in Slagle. Mr. McDonald died Saturday, June 25, at his residence. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jasper E. and Maude Pierce McDonald; brothers, Clarence, Leeroy, Gill, Ledroy, McLamore and Earl McDonald; sisters, Jewell Spears, Pearl McDonald and Cybil White.
He is survived by two sisters-in-law, Loriane and Onita McDonald; nieces, Brenda Brannon and Sharon McDonald.
