LYDIA JAMES

HARTSELLE - Funeral for Lydia James, 45, of Falkville, will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at New Song Family Church in Flint, with the Rev. Les Jones and the Rev. James Maxwell officiating.

Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery East in Hartselle, with Peck Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 at the funeral home.

Mrs James died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2001, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born Sept. 19, 1955, in Morgan County to Charles Delver Maxwell and Helen Isol Puckett Maxwell. She was a member of the 336th USAR Postal Unit in Muscle Shoals. She served in the Gulf War. She was a member of the host family program for foreign exchange students.

Survivors include her husband, Gary James; three daughters, Angie Holmes of Cullman, Chasity Jeffreys of Hartselle and Jamela Abaied of Falkville; three brothers, Ronnie Maxwell, Derrick Maxwell and James Maxwell, all of Hartselle; one sister, Debbie Nungester of Martinez, Ga.; and five grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
