Born Dec. 22, 1942, in Zalma, son of the late Cletis Izer and Thelma Delores Gobble Hendrix, he was pastor of the House of Prayer in Chaffee.
On Nov. 23, 1962, he married Virginia L. McRoy, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: five sons, Larry Hendrix, Scott Hendrix, Travis Hendrix, Shannon Hendrix and Joe Hendrix; three daughters, Mary Day, Jeannie Walker and Marty Seabaugh; five sisters, Anna Lee Morgan, Helen Hurst, Jerrie Bentley, Reva Harrison, and Janice Hunter; and 18 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and one grandson.
Visitation was at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, where services are scheduled with the Rev. Robert Dudley officiating.
Burial followed in Union Park Cemetery.
