Mary Ann Armey, daughter of Abraham and Nancy (Leininger) Zellers, was born in Juniata County, Penneylvania, Mary 17, 1847.
She was the youngest of six children. When she was six years old the family moved to Michigan and a few years later moved to Indiana.
On November 19, 1871 she was united in marriage to Abraham Armey in Kosciusko County, Indiana, and to this union four children were born, the two youngest having preceded her in death thirty years ago, Mrs. J. G. Summe and Mrs. O S. Kreiter, of Whittier, California, remain two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Early in life she became a christian having been a member of the Church of the Brethern, and later she became a member of the United Brethern church, in which she lived faithful until the end.
She had been a widow a number of years, living alone until the last six months when she made her home with her daughters.
All that medical aid and loving hands could do was to no avail. On the morning of July 20, 1922 she quietly and peacefully passed away in Whittier Californai, age 75 years 2 months and 3 days.
Her last months were full of pain and suffering and times she called upon the Lord to take her, knowing that to be with him was far better.
She was kind and loving monther always ready to help and do what she could. The text of her own choosing, II Timothy 4:7-8.
