The many friends of Chas. Cone, former county commissioner and well known Palatka resident deeply sympathize with him in the loss of his father, C. W. Cone, who died Monday in Lake City, following an extended illness. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at Benton.
The deceased was a native of Florida and was 77 years of age. He had spent the greater part of his long and useful life in Columbia County, where his relatives are among the most prominent citizens.
