Passed away Friday, December 19, 2008 while surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 19, 1922 in Reed City, Michigan to Basil and Edith (Louks) Bregg and grew up in Ashton. She attended Ashton School. In 1939 she married Walter Ivan Nelson and began a marriage that lasted over 68 years until his death in 2007. In 1944 they bought a farm in Lincoln Township, Osceola County that they made their home for over 50 years. It was on that farm that they raised their three children John Ivan, Susan Idella and Mary Jane. She was a life long member of the United Methodist Church and spent her life as a devoted wife, loving mother and proud home maker. She loved to read and travel and had visited all of the original 48 States. She loved writing poetry and had published a collection of her poems titled "Poetry and Memories for Golden Agers" about by gone days and senior citizens. She is survived by her son John Ivan (Sally), Daughters Susan Idella (Eddie) Mazique and Mary Jane (Gary) Horvat. She had 7 Grand Children and 11 Great Grand Children at the time of her death. She had five brothers; Oland, Nelson, Ambross, Darrel and Richard. Two Sisters Betty Mann-White and Norma Cool.
She was an exceptional Christian woman who is home and will be forever missed by her loving family and many, many friends.
