Funeral for Thomas "Roy" Grantland, 101, of 1310 Elizabeth Ave. SE was to be today at 2 p.m. at Brown Service Funeral Home with the Rev A. Ray Lee, the Rev Jim Stringfellow and the Rev Randy Vanlandingham officiating.
Burial will be in Roselawn Gardens of Memory.
Mr Grantland died Saturday at Medical Park Convalescent Center. He was a retired employee of L&N Railroad.
He is survived by his wife, Myrtie Grantland; four sons, Clyde Grantland of Decatur, Arcue Grantland of Mims, Fla., Cecil Grantland of Tampa, Fla., and Thomas Roy Grantland Jr of Morris; two daughters Macie Archer of Morris and Alene Harris of Birmingham; one sister, Clem Plemmons of Catula, Ga; 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
Grandsons will be pallbearers.
