Reginald touched many lives, establishing life long friendships with his fun-loving personality. He cared for people in such a way that they considered him family. You would never find Reggie in the kitchen (except to refill a bowl of chips or pretzels). Reggie loved children, especially playing with his grandchildren, coaching little league basketball and substitute teaching. He never missed an opportunity to support a family member or friend. Family reunions, sports, games, and special programs were top priorities in his eyes.
Reggie was a private gentleman, yet, he shared his heart with everyone. His words of wisdom, encouragement, and advice will never be forgotten. He will truly be missed. He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter Charlyn Schofield and her husband Tim, along with grandchildren, Joshua and Aniyah Schofield.; father and mother, Frank and Maxine Ray; brothers and sisters, Diane Shelton, Melvin Ray (Gilda), and Francine Woodhouse (Charles) and Alvin Ray (Kathy), three nephews, five nieces, and a host of other relatives and friends. Memorial contributions in his honor can be directed to YMCA of Greater Indianapolis, West District Youth Basketball League, at 7811 W. Morris St. in Indianapolis, IN 46231.
