Obituary for Mary Catherine Snow
Mary Catherine Snow 91, formerly of Kingsville, Missouri passed away peacefully at her home in Olathe, Kansas on Thursday September 21, 2023. She was born in Sedalia, Missouri on January 15, 1932, to John and Lula (Steele) Waters. Cathy, as she became known, attended grade school at Washington Grade School and graduated from Smith Cotton High School in Sedalia, class of 1949. Cathy married Kenyon Snow on March 29, 1953, in Sedalia and moved to Kingsville to live on the farm. The couple had one son, Charles Allen.

In 1953 she graduated from Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg. Cathy worked as a secretary at Lake City Arsenal from 1953-1954. She then taught Business subjects at Lone Jack High School from 1954-1959, and at Grain Valley High School from 1961-1967.

Along with her husband they raised beef cattle and hogs. They were dairy farmers for almost 40 years. The couple were proud members of the Elm Spring Baptist Church.

Preceding Cathy in death are her parents; 1 brother Joe Waters.

The family will hold a Visitation on Sunday evening September 24, 2023, 5-7 PM at Campbell-Cast Funeral Home in Holden, MO. A Funeral Service will be held Monday September 25, 2023, at 1 PM at the Elm Spring Baptist Church, 567 NW 1601st Rd, Kingsville, MO.

Interment to follow at the Elm Springs Cemetery. Pastor Robin Dale will be officiating. Pallbearers include Sam Gard, Steve Ewing, Jazmine Snow, Bill Boyle, David Beam, Chris Blunt, Jacob Snow, Terry Warren, Duane Early, and Greg Narron.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the Elm Spring Baptist Church Building Fund in lieu of flowers. Arrangements entrusted to Campbell-Cast Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left at www.castfuneralhome.com
