Anthony W. Troxell, 52, of 1216 Meadowbrook Drive, died at 12:54 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, 2000, in Home Hospital.

He was born April 2, 1948, in Lafayette and was a lifelong area resident. For 10 years, he worked at Fairfield Manufacturing Co., previously working 15 years at Pepsi Cola Co.

He was a Marine Corps veteran and served in Vietnam. He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church of Lafayette, American Legion Post 11, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1154 and United Auto Workers. He enjoyed gardening and restoring old cars.

Surviving are a son, Rodney Troxell (wife: Anna) of Lafayette; a daughter, Amy Troxell of Johnson City, Tenn; his father and stepmother, Wayman and Joann Troxel of Crawfordsville; two brothers, Dave Troxel (wife: Donna) of Lafayette and Mark Troxel (wife: Renee) of Linden; and three sisters, Sandra Rhymer (husband: Ronald) of Francesville, Jeanne Moosey (husband: Neale) of Zionsville and Lori Pugh (husband: Mike) of Waynetown. Also surviving is a granddaughter, Katherine Marie Troxell. Preceded in death by his mother, Katherine Steiner Troxell in 1989.

Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Hippensteel Funeral Home. The body will lie in state 1 hour prior to services at 1 p.m. Thursday at St. James Lutheran Church, Pastor David French officiating. Burial at Bethel Cemetery near Attica. Memorials to Diabetes Foundation.
